Push-cam and crawler surveys of laterals, mains and storm lines. Delivered across Richmond by Sewer Scans, a Leak.ca division.
604-239-9934Same-day response in RichmondCCTV sewer inspection is the foundational survey of any subsurface sanitary or storm system. We deploy push-cam for laterals up to 200 mm, and crawler robotics for mains beyond. The work captures the entire line — cracks, root intrusion, offsets, sags, infiltration, deposits — and produces a digital video record plus a coded condition report aligned to standard PACP or equivalent grading. For owners, the report is the basis for repair or rehabilitation decisions.
Lateral failures in 80s/90s subdivisions, infiltration during king tides and heavy rain, root intrusion in mature-tree streets.
Richmond's built environment — low-rise wood-frame condos, single-family on small lots, City Centre high-rises, agricultural in east Richmond — shapes how cctv sewer inspection is delivered locally. Richmond sits at 1 m above sea level on the Fraser delta. The high water table makes slab leaks and basement seepage common, and the dyke-protected drainage system means stormwater issues quickly become structural ones. Construction is largely 1980s–2000s with growing concrete-tower density in City Centre.
